FISH PASS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E02B8/08 

FIELD: hydraulic structures, particularly fish passes arranged in water intake structures and adapted to protect young fish from ingress in water intake structures.

SUBSTANCE: fish pass comprises water receiving portal made as drum with water-tight upper and lower ends, water intake aperture located in drum and having height equal to distance between upper and lower drum ends, supply pipeline connected to delivery pipe of the pump and with distribution manifold. The drum is installed in inlet pipe of pump. The distribution manifold is located at longitudinal axis of inlet pipe in the middle between upper and lower drum ends. Fish pass also has water heads connected to distribution manifold by the first ends and facing water pool by the second water head ends. Water heads are arranged in horizontal plane and may rotate about inlet pipe axis. The water heads are made as Segner wheel. Water intake aperture extends about the full perimeter of the drum. Distribution manifold is installed on bearing formed in end part of supply pipeline. Outlet orifices of water heads are located inside the drum.

EFFECT: possibility to create hydraulic conditions necessary and sufficient for effective young fish protection against ingress in water intake structures in zone of water intake portal influence.
