FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine timing systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine timing gear consists of cylinder head installed on four-cylinder in-line engine on each cylinder of which ball unit is installed including split housing, ball spool with three semispherical combustion chambers placed in housing space and arranged at angle of 120° relative to each other in direction of rotation of spool, turbine with shafts and gears, expanders, reversers, air pipe, air duct and gas outlet. Pistons in cylinders play the part of air or fuel mixture chargers of combustion chamber, fuel mixture burns in constant volume, and coming out flows directly act onto blades of turbine from which power is removed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine.
