FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed engine contains cylinder with working piston connected with working shaft. According to invention, cylinder accommodates additional piston forming combustion chamber between one of its end face and working piston. Additional piston moves after working piston at rotation of working shaft after passing over dead center, before beginning of working stroke or during working stroke. According to first design version, piston is connected with shaft by connecting rod and flexible closed tie.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine.
