FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production. The proposed invention consists in that the operating charge is fed during the stroke of possible intake after forced expansion of gaseous content of the engine working volume, the combustion chamber volume is reduced and/or supercharging intensity is increased. The engine designed for implementing the proposed method incorporates the system of the working charge feed during the stroke of possible intake after forced expansion of gaseous content of the engine working volume during the given stroke. Note that it comprises the combustion chamber of varying or constant working volume corresponding to numerical value of geometrical compression ratio of at least 12 under all engine operating conditions.

EFFECT: expanded performances, higher efficiency and/or out of known ICE.
