DIFFICULTLY COMBUSTIBLE LOW-TOXIC FIBER GLASS AND METHOD FOR ITS PREPARING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B32B17/04 B32B27/36 B29C70/34

Abstract RU 2286881 C1

FIELD: polymers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing of difficultly combustible low-toxic fiberglass articles. Difficultly combustible low-toxic fiberglass articles are formed from layers of fiberglass filling agent taken in the amount 10-20 mas. p. p. impregnated with unsaturated polyester binding agent. Binding agent consists of the following components, mass. p. p.: solution of unsaturated polyester in triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, 100; antimony oxide, 7-10; aluminum hydroxide, 250-300; peroxide initiating agent, 3-4; cobalt naphthenate as accelerating agent, 2-3; product of interaction of ethylene glycol monoethyl ester, boric acid and dimethylaniline in their mass ratio = (90:6.3:2.0)-(80:5.6:1.2), 5-9, and organic antipyrene, 20-30. Method for preparing fiber glass involves the following steps: preparing a binding agent, sizing a blank by contact method on the form with separating layer by parallel layers of fiberglass filling agent with impregnation with a binding agent, thickening each layer and hardening a binding agent. Binding agent is prepared by mixing unsaturated polyester resin with aluminum hydroxide, antimony oxide, peroxide initiating agent and accelerating agent. Before preparing a binding agent method involves preparing product of interaction of ethylene glycol monoethyl ester, boric acid and dimethylaniline in their mass ratio = (90:6.3:2.0)-(80:5.6:1.2) that is added to a binding agent in common with organic antipyrene. Before addition aluminum hydroxide and antimony oxide to a binding agent are stirred to paste state preliminary. Initiating agent is added to a binding agent before impregnation of fiberglass filling agent immediately. Invention provides decreasing maximal foam evolving at combustion and glowing of fiberglass materials and reducing gas-forming temperature of its combustion products. Invention can be used in manufacturing internal facing for passenger train wagons, subway wagons, in ship building, transport and in other fields.

EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of material, improved preparing method.
