FIELD: systems and cutters for oxygen cutting of metals with use of liquid fuel, possibly in different branches of machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cutter includes head 2 and mixer 3 joined with it along cone surface. Head includes openings for feeding respectively heating and cutting oxygen and liquid fuel. Outer mouthpiece 4 is mounted in head 2; inner mouthpiece 5 engaged with slits is arranged in it. Inner mouthpiece is joined with mixer 3 and it forms together with outer mouthpiece 4 annular gap and slit passages. Evaporator 6 is arranged between mouthpieces 4, 5; its inlet is communicated with mixer through annular gap 10. Outlets of openings of head 2 for supplying heating and liquid fuel are communicated with respective inlets of mixer. Outlet of opening for supplying cutting oxygen is communicated with successively connected central ducts of mixer 3 and inner mouthpiece 5. Outlets of openings of head 2 are communicated respectively with tube for feeding cutting oxygen and with unit for feeding heating oxygen and liquid fuel. Said unit has duct for liquid fuel having spindle regulator and arranged in duct for supplying heating oxygen. One-piece evaporator 6 has at one side central opening in the form of prism with even number of rectangular lateral faces mutually joined by rounded ribs and at other side it is in the form of cylinder divided from prism by means of annular gap. Each second face of prism has through opening over which rounded closing protrusion 17 is formed. Said protrusion has radius equal to radius of rounded ribs of prism, to radius of cylinder and to radius of mouthpiece surface joined with it. Lateral faces of prism and surface of outer mouthpiece 4 form U-shaped ducts mutually communicated through annular groove. Length of said ducts exceeds height of evaporator 6 at least by 1.7 times. Surface of mouthpiece is joined with respective surfaces of evaporator through non-detachable joint. Values of total cross surface area of U-shaped ducts, of total cross surface area of through openings of prism faces and of cross surface area of gap between mouthpieces are related as 1.0 : 2 - 3.5 : 1.2 - 1.5.
EFFECT: improved design of cutter, increased flame power, stable burning, prevention of back strikes, enhanced quality of cutting.
