FIELD: warning units for submarine for surfacing them in case of emergency.
SUBSTANCE: proposed emergency signal radio buoy may be also used by surface ships by throwing it overboard. Proposed buoy has body, transmitting radio equipment, storage battery and solid ballast. Body is made in form of vertically oriented cylinder at radius R which consists of upper watertight pressure part at total height Hp.p. imparting buoyancy to radio buoy and lower part which is filled with water and is used for performing function of solid wave disturbance neutralizer considerably decreasing buoy angular rolling; its height is HOH; solid ballast of circular form is placed in its lower part; upper part is provided with vent openings; upper part of body has draft T and freeboard Hfrb. Optimal sizes of radio buoy are determined by solving the 5 algebraic equations determining neutralization of wave disturbing moments, mass and buoyancy, static moment of mass, stability and limitation of common overall height.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of transmission of emergency signal through COSPA-SARSAT system.
