FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to alarm appliances released by submarine to surface and dropped overboard by surface ships to transmit short encoded message via global satellite communication COSPAS-CAPCAT system. Alarm radio buoy comprises wave moment killer representing two mutually-perpendicular extending vertically plates with length making at least half the draft and width making at least the diametre of top pressure cylindrical body. Bottom part of said vertical plates accommodates conical damper-neutraliser of vertical wave forces. Outer shape and arrangement of center of weight and buoyancy provides for required stability and limited vertical and angular pitching of buoy. It is furnished with galvanic elements interconnected to make storage battery that can induce e.m.f. in sea water to supply emergency radio transmitter and buoy.
EFFECT: higher reliability of transmitting alarm signal at sea motions.
