FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steels used for press tools in pressing copper-base alloys. Steel comprises components taken in the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon, 0.35-0.38; silicon, 0.43-0.47; manganese, 0.60-0.66; chrome, 2.0-2.4; nickel, 5.4-5.6; molybdenum, 2.0-2.4; vanadium, 1.3-1.5; nitrogen, 0.03-0.04, and iron, the balance. Invention provides enhancing the strength properties at temperatures above 750°C.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of steel.
