FIELD: washing equipment and method of controlling the same.

SUBSTANCE: drum-type washing machine has door which is brought out of blocked state during predetermined period of time without interrupting of water feeding or water discharge processes. This allows user to open door during feeding or discharge of water at the initial stages of washing or squeezing processes or resume these processes after interrupting thereof in drum-type washing machine. Thus, safe and convenient charging of additional portion of clothing into rotating drum is provided or withdrawal of clothing or foreign matter from rotating drum is enabled. Drum-type washing machine has control unit adapted for blocking of door at starting of washing or squeezing processes, bringing out said door from blocked state during first predetermined period of time after upon accomplishment of washing or squeezing process during second predetermined period of time, and repeated blocking of door upon expiration of first predetermined period of time.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in washing and squeezing of cloths and provision for safe and convenient charging of additional portion of cloths into rotating drum.
