FIELD: devices for catching of bullets and fragmentation shells, in particular, bullet catchers.
SUBSTANCE: the bullet catcher has at least one module containing two vertical bullet reflectors located on the opposite sides of the firing axis, and a chamber connected to them with formation of a neck. The first of the bullet reflectors is made in the form of a high-strength steel sheet inclined at angle α to the firing axis, and the second of them is made in the form of two adjacent high-strength steel sheets, one of which is inclined at angle β to the firing axis, and the other adjoining the chamber is positioned in parallel with the firing axis or deflected from it. The connecting line of the two adjacent high-strength steel sheets of the second bullet deflector lies in the plane passing through the front edge of the first bullet deflector and forming with it angle γ, and angles α, β and γ are selected from the condition of prevention of the reverse ricochet of bullets and/or their fragments.
EFFECT: enhanced survivability in the conditions of multiple impact load.
