FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices intended for catching bullets and shot shells, particularly to bullet catchers. Proposed device comprises upper bullet deflector, lower bullet deflector, reflecting element abutting upon upper bullet deflector and bullet receiving chamber furnished with neck. One side of the said neck is formed by reflecting element, while the other one is made by upper part of lower bullet deflector. Face surface of lower bullet deflector features profile representing curve described by enclosed equation, or profile representing inscribed open polygon approximating aforesaid curve. Open polygon comprises at least three sections.
EFFECT: reduced wear of bullet catcher due to elimination of back ricochet.
