FIELD: railway transport; traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of train traffic control provides counting of wheelset axles when train leaves the station and enters block-section. Depending on obtained result, number and lengths of block sections are changed. The greater the number of counted wheelset axles, the smaller the number of block-sections and the greater is their length, and vice versa. Train traffic control device includes dispatch station and arrival station wheelset axle counter is installed at dispatch station. Devices of signal points of automatic block system are furnished with keys to switch on or off the system. Output of wheelset axle counter is connected with inputs of keys of automatic system signal pointed devices. Keys switch on or off automatic block system signal point devices at passage of trains in one direction.
EFFECT: increased track capacity pf block sections.
