FIELD: water treatment processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning wash waters originated from electrochemical and chemical enterprises using reagent process supplemented by ion-exchange aftertreatment with the aim to return the water into closed cycle to be reused. Process, in particular, can be used in plating plants, nonferrous metallurgy, heat-and-power engineering, and other industrial areas. Process of invention consists in that plating plant wash water formed in nickel-chromium deposition process is subjected to precipitation of cations and anions by means of saturated (at room temperature) barium hydroxide solution followed by settling-mediated separation of the precipitate and aftertreatment of clarified water. Barium hydroxide is added in such amount, which provides residual concentration of metal cations and acid anions below 30 mg/L, in particular 0.8-1.0 mg/L barium, while aftertreatment is effected consecutively on cationite KU-2 and anionite AV-17.

EFFECT: increased degree of cleaning, prolonged resin service cycle, optimized precipitate structure, reduced consumption of reagents, and simplified technology.
