FIELD: hydraulic flood control structures, particularly floating gates.
SUBSTANCE: floating gate comprises closeable vertical mechanized gates with doors having bottom surfaces defined by broken lines in door width directions. Door bottom surface includes inlet horizontal part located from upper pool side, inclined part abutting horizontal part from lower pool side and extending at obtuse angle, as well as outlet part. The inclined part may be deflected upwards. Flap arranged in lower gate part is formed in inlet horizontal part thereof. Inclined outlet part of door bottom surface is provided with projection having arbitrary cross-sectional shape. Lower point of the projection is located at height not exceeding 0.1 of door width from door bottom over horizontal door bottom surface part and in point spaced a distance equal to 0.4 of inclined part length from the beginning of the inclined part. The second flap may be installed near lower projection edge along door length. The second flap has lower edge located at the level of lower flap edge, wherein the lower flap is installed within the limits of inlet horizontal bottom surface part.
EFFECT: prevention of floating gate self-oscillations caused by floating gate immersion and seating on navigation pass structure sill in the case of water level difference between upper and lower pools and increased operational safety.
