FIELD: sea-going transport; ships of active ice navigation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ice-navigation ship has parallel middlebody between fore and aft extremities and is provided with rimers mounted in fore extremity. Ship's hull is provided with side rimers mounted on either side within middlebody area; side rimers are arranged along ship and their front parts are located at distance from fore rimers as far as section in the vicinity of ship's CG at shift towards ship's bow from section where section of the run begins; height of rimers exceeds distance between load and ballast waterlines.
EFFECT: reduction of radius of turning under ice conditions; enhanced passability through ice under action of ice compression.
