CARBON STEEL STRIP COLD ROLLING PROCESS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21B1/36 

FIELD: manufacture of cold rolled thin-sheet steel in reversing rolling mill.

SUBSTANCE: process is designed for producing cold rolled thin-sheet steel strips, mainly with width B = 1.03 - 1.63 m. Process is realized due to successively lowering steel thickness by providing predetermined total reduction ε whose value is inversely proportional to thickness value of rolled strip. According to invention for steel containing carbon [C] = 0.17 - 024 mass % and silicon [Si] = 0.17 - 0.7 mass % value ε is calculated with use of mathematical relation depending upon thickness of rolled piece. If carbon content is in range [C] = 0.05 - 0.11 mass % and silicon content [Si] = 0.17 mass % or less reduction value is calculated with use of individual mathematical relations for strip thickness h = 0.35 - 3.0 mm and h = 0.8 - 3.00 mm. If carbon content [C] = 0.006 mass % or less for h = 0.35 - 3.0 mm and B = 1.03 - 1.25 m reduction value ε¹ is normalized by mathematical relation and for the same thickness values h at B = 1.251 - 1.4 m and for h = 0.35 - 0.40 mm at B = 1.401 - 1.630 m reduction value is decreased by 1.2 % absolute in comparison with value ε¹ ; for h = 0.5 - 3.0 mm and B = 1.401 - 1.630 m reduction value ε is decreased by 2.7 % absolute in comparison with value ε¹.

EFFECT: less loss of yield for steel sheets with improved properties at different elongation degrees.
