METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF COLD ROLLED BAND OUT OF LOW CARBON GRADES OF STEEL Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C21D8/04 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production and can be used in production of cold rolled band with thickness 0.8-0.9 mm, with high solidity (σ_B not less than 780 H/mm²) and plastic properties (δ₁₀₀-1-5%) from low carbon grades of steel which is used as packing. To upgrade quality of finished cold rolled band in whole volume of roll for facilitation of required package of mechanical properties following operations are carried out: scale is removed off surface of hot rolled semi-finished product by etching, further product is cold rolled at continuous mill, notably, band of steel containing, wt %: 0.13-0.17 of carbon and 0.4-0.7 of manganese is subject to cold rolling with total relative reduction within range of 67-70 %; upon cold rolling there is performed low temperature heat treatment of band and following pinch rolling.

EFFECT: upgraded strength and plastic properties of steel.
