FIELD: engineering of collective protection devices, possible use as fast-activated protective structures for shielding population and personnel in the field under conditions of effect from damaging factors of ecological and man-made catastrophes having to do with escape of steams and aerosols of toxic and potent poisonous substances, and also for setting up inside stationary buildings for feeding purified air into aforementioned structures.

SUBSTANCE: multi-functional modular type universal device for collective protection consists of several sections, each one of which is formed by elastic cover, and provided with air-impenetrable closing apertures for inlet-outlet, air-suction device and air duct, while elastic cover is connected to collapsible metallic frame, making it possible when metallic elements of frame are pulled in opposite directions to form habitable section, hermetically connected to other section, which is formed by moveable and immobile bars with elastic cover held on them, and volume of which may be changed, while metallic frame of habitable section is formed of jointed hinge connections, in which lesser and greater distances between axes of hinges forming an arc during stretching are related as 1:1,15÷1,25, and distances between axes of hinges, forming rectilinear sections during stretching, are related as 1:1; volume of section, formed by moveable and immoveable bars are related to volume of habitable section as 1:10÷15, air-suction device is provided with universal filter for cleaning fed air from steams and aerosols of dangerous harmful substances, and walls of section, formed by moveable and immoveable bars, separating its internal space from habitable section and surrounding space, are equipped with valves.

EFFECT: increased quality and efficiency of collective protection, possible creation of quickly activated population protection means both on open ground and inside stationary buildings, increased reliability of operation.
