FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used to prevent scaling and rusting of engine cooling system. Proposed filtering system for cooling liquid of locomotive diesel engines contains magnetic device and hydrocyclone. Water is delivered into magnetic device and hydrocyclone installed parallel to radiators and diesel engine along bypass line through regulating valve. Outlet branch pipe with series-mounted regulating valve, magnetic device and hydrocyclone is arranged on suction line of circulating pump between pump and radiators, and inlet branch pipe is arranged between diesel engine and radiators on radiator water supply line.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of magnetic treatment and cleaning of water in diesel engine cooling device.
