FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method of cleaning the cooling system of diesel engines from scale and corrosion products involves magnetic treatment of water using a magnetic system. The magnetic system consists of neodymium magnets installed in a stainless non-magnetic steel housing in the place of greatest coolant circulation near the water pumps of the main and additional cooling circuits. In the working cavity of the magnetic system housing, through which water flows, several different-polar magnetic field zones are created. When passing through different-polar magnetic field zones, additional centres of crystallization of molecules of calcium and magnesium salts are formed on the seed crystals. Precipitated mechanical impurities are carried away by the water flow from the heating zone and are captured by a mechanical filter.
EFFECT: improved quality of cleaning of the closed engine cooling system from scale and corrosion products.
