FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: double-circuit water-air cooling system of locomotive-type diesel engine, which contains cooling circuits one of which represents diesel engine cooling circuit, and the other circuit is cooling circuit of crankcase oil and blown air; at that, system is equipped with heat accumulating device made in the form of thermal tanks providing the drain of cooling water from sections of coolers; at that, thermal tank of the first circuit is installed relative to the diesel engine level and supports in it the water filling level of diesel engine at its shutdown, and thermal tank of the second circuit is installed relative to blown air cooler level and supports in it and in water oil heat exchanger the water level at diesel engine shutdown, bypass lines connecting the inlet and outlet of cooler lines of both circuits; besides, system is equipped with bypass lines attaching inlets and outlets of pipelines from coolers of both pipelines, as well as air-steam pipelines attaching the upper point of cooler and upper point of thermal tank and pipelines connecting lower points of thermal tanks to pipelines of suction lines before pump inlets.
EFFECT: improving operating efficiency of diesel engine at low ambient temperature and fuel economy.
