SUBSTANCE: method involves using audiovisual composition as means for treatment of mental disorders, said composition including set of pictures with scenes symbolizing negative strategy of behavior, which symbolically express patient's emotions, his interrelations with other individuals, and his actual conflict with individuals. Said composition also includes pictures with scenes symbolizing positive behavior strategy and giving hints as to getting out of crisis situation. During treatment, audiovisual composition is first shown to patient with complex of symbols representing negative strategy of behavior: symbol of past well-being, symbol of approaching crisis, symbol of dread, symbol of source of dread, symbol of resource for solving the problem, symbol of destructive usage of resource, symbol of personal psychophysical catastrophe, then with complex representing positive strategy of behavior: symbol of past well-being, symbol of approaching crisis, symbol of crisis, symbol of source of dread, symbol of resource for solving the problem, symbol of constructive usage of resource, symbol of successful future, coming to novel level of psychophysical comfort.

EFFECT: increased psychotherapeutic effect produced by actions leading to recovery of disturbed balance between unconscious and conscious levels of patient's psychic and fixing at unconscious level the symbol complex patterns with stable connections for constructive solving of problems occurred.
