FIELD: medicine, in particular, prophylaxis of schoolchildren's iodine deficiency.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out by doctors of individual work with schoolchildren and determining main representative system of information perception; according to perception system, dividing schoolchildren into groups, each including 8-10 children; providing useful psychotherapy combined with explanation of disease etiopathogenesis and the necessity of therapy conducted, said psychotherapy being conducted in the form of conversation, with 50% of conversation time being spent using categories of revealed main representative system and 25% of conversation time being spent using two other perception categories.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in increasing mental capacity for work of children through administration of iodine-containing preparations owing to reduced time of interruptions of prophylactic treatment and increased regularity of preparation administration.
