FIELD: methods for protecting steel, mainly low-carbon steel against corrosion in aggressive aqueous almost neutral media by means of added inhibitors, possibly protecting technological equipment operating in contact with corrosion medium.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of adding inhibitor into aggressive medium; using as inhibitor aqueous or alkali extract of vegetable waste materials after processing cereals; adding such inhibitor into aggressive medium in quantity 0.5 - 1.5 g by conversion to dried matter per 1 liter of aggressive medium; using rice husk, rice straw, rice flour, buckwheat grain husk as vegetable waste material.
EFFECT: ecologically safe lowered-cost process for effectively protecting steel against corrosion in slightly aggressive media.
