FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for driving retarder brake of vehicle. Proposed internal combusting engine of vehicle has speed governor with electric switch and flyweights connected with sleeve, retarder brake shutter drive equipment with pneumatic cylinder coupled with brake system of vehicle through electromagnetic valve. Rod of cylinder is mechanically coupled with shutter installed in intake pipe of muffler. Retarder foot controlled switch is connected with electropneumatic valve, coupled by air line with air distributor, for switching on at moment when crankshaft speed exceeds preset limit. Additional intake valve is installed in engine cylinder and connected by air main line with air distributor.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of engine at deceleration at different speeds of engine crankshaft.
