SUBSTANCE: retarder has outlet and intake valves with drive, air distributor with flat on its shaft and possibility of circulation of air in cylinder combustion chamber according to engine working cycles. Corresponding holes are made in housing of air distributor, and additional valve is installed in cylinder block head. Valve is connected by pipeline with holes in air distributor housing. EFFECT: simplified design and improved efficiency of vehicle braking. 2 dwg
