FIELD: small arms ammunition, designed for hitting of enemy personnel provided with an individual armor protection.
SUBSTANCE: the cartridge, mainly of 9-mm caliber, has a bullet with a steel core, cylindrical cartridge case with a primer, and a propellant charge. The bullet length makes up (1.6-2.0)d, the core length - (1.5-1.9)d, the core diameter - (0.5-0.6)d, where d-the bullet diameter, the bullet weight coefficient makes up 5-6 g/cu.cm. The charge is made of powder with a mean grain thickness within 0.09 to 0.16 mm at the following relation of fractions in the grain diameter in percent by mass: 0.16-0.355 mm - total not more than 20.
EFFECT: enhanced bullet piercing action, with the ballistic impulse similar to the cartridges of the same type being conserved.
