FIELD: production of smoking articles.

SUBSTANCE: filter has filtering medium and means for heating of filtering medium or peripheral zone of filtering medium. Heating means is adapted for adjustment of temperature within the range of from 100 C to 200 C. Filtering medium is made from heat-resistant fibers and makes high-efficiency filter providing practically 100% removal of particles. Heating means allows temperature to be regulated in two or more stages. Filter has cooling section and may be equipped with additional filter consisting of activated charcoal. Filtering medium may contain laminated phosphate as adsorbent.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in removal of high-boiling components from tobacco smoke.
