FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device has central optical and peripheral colored part. It is manufactured from flexible material and has circular shape. The peripheral part has supporting members made as a whole with it and is provided with rounded angles. The equidistantly spaced supporting members are inclined at 170° to peripheral part back surface. Polymer flexible ring-shaped magnet of permanent magnetic field intensity equal to 3-4 mTesla units is available in each supporting member. Method involves marking sclera corresponding to supporting member magnet disposition in the iridolenticular diaphragm. Po Polymer flexible ring-shaped magnets of permanent magnetic field intensity equal to 3-4 mTesla units are intrasclerally implanted into marked zones. Then, the iridolenticular diaphragm is intraocularly implanted in a way that magnet projections coincide with intrascleral magnet projections.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in restoring functional iridolenticular diaphragm properties.
