FIELD: railway traffic control; automatic driving systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for refining location of trains. According to invention, distance and speed pickup installed on axle of locomotive wheelset or head car of electric train and coupled with said axle by quill driver is connected to computing unit. Two series-connected receiving coils are installed on bogie of locomotive or head car of electric train. Free leads of coils are connected to input of locomotive receiver whose output is connected to computing unit through first interface unit. Acceleration pickup is installed on axle-box unit of locomotive or head car of electric train, said acceleration pickup being connected to computing unit through second interface unit. Receiver of signals from track generators of automatic block signal system is provided whose input is connected either to free leads of available receiving coils or to free leads of separate additional receiving coils with series-opposite connected windings. Output of receiver through third interface unit is connected to computing unit.

EFFECT: provision of reliability and high accuracy of measurement of linear coordinate, both on track sections with insulated rail join5ts between adjacent block-sections and on continuous welded rail sections.
