SUBSTANCE: device for determining the location and route of a train includes: module for measuring coordinates according to wheel sensor data, satellite navigator module, rail line control module, track circuit boundaries control module, insulating joint passage control module, outputs of which are connected through inter-module interface to corresponding inputs of module for updating current coordinate on electronic route map, which input/output is connected to the first input/output of the electronic route map module. Device also comprises an object recognition module connected by a first input/output to a database module of images of infrastructure objects, and the second input/output is through an intermodule interface with a module for updating the current coordinate on the electronic route map. Output of the module for updating the current coordinate on the electronic route map is connected to the input of the module for selecting the current fragment of the electronic route map, The first input/output of which interacts with the second output/input of the electronic route map module, and the second input/output – with the input/output of the engineman display module.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining location and route of a train.
