FIELD: water transportation of round timber.
SUBSTANCE: proposed raft has bundling unit located in transversal rows and interconnected by means of rigging secured to rigid couplings; end bundling units of each row are provided with onboard sets. Bundling units of head and tail rows are interconnected by means of transversal bracings and transversal rows are interconnected by means of ground braces laid along raft over end bundling units and secured to them by means of clips fitted at points of intersection of these ground braces with transversal bracings and onboard sets. Logs are laid on head and tail rows and are connected with rigid couplings by means of wire twists overlapping joints of these couplings.
EFFECT: reduction of labor requirements at unloading timer from water; increased productivity of timber rafting jobs.
