FIELD: timber transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport of timber, in particular to rafts, and is intended for transporting round timber. The raft contains rafting units located in rows, side sets superimposed on the outermost rafting units, side beams laid along the rafting units, along their tops, transverse ties and plate clamps. The rafting units consist of rows of round timber, cross strips in the form of round timber and flexible ties equipped with connecting devices and connecting the rows of round timber. Rafting units are installed in longitudinal rows - rulers, where the side sets are applied to the first and last rafting units in each longitudinal row, and along each longitudinal row of rafting units, along their top, side tracks are laid, which are connected to the side sets using plate clamps, and in case of rafting units not equipped with side kits - using karabiners attached to the flexible connections of the rafting units. In the head and tail parts of the raft, transverse beams are laid, connecting the rafting units to each other and connected to the side beds and side sets by means of rigging locks.

EFFECT: simple design of the raft is achieved for rafting round timber along shallow rivers.
