FIELD: biotechnology, in particular enzyme production.
SUBSTANCE: β-amylase is extracted from cereal corn, such as barley, wheat or hulled barley, in aqueous medium with cellulase followed by isolation of β-amylase from obtained extract. Extraction is carried out at 25-33°C, preferably at 29-31°C for 48-66 h, preferably for 55-62 hours. Used cellulase is preferably from mould fungus Trichoderma.
EFFECT: accelerated method with increased β-amylase yield.
