FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy; production of tin bronze.
SUBSTANCE: tin bronze is produced by melting mineral copper concentrate at the following content of components, %: Cu2S, 20-25; CuFeS, FeS, 20-25; AsFeS, 1.5-25; SnO2, 3-5; Zn, 1.5-2.0; Pb, 1.5-2.0; ZnS, 1.5-2.0; the remainder being SiO2; concentrate is roasted at temperature of 800-850°C and pellets are made from roasted mineral copper concentrate, clay, lime, water and cemish. Then, pellets are dried and molten under layer of ground graphite in electric-arc furnace without copper and tin as charge materials. Chemical composition of single-phase tin thus obtained is as follows: 91.76% Cu, 4.21% Sn, 0.31% Si, 0.42% Zn, 1.8% Pb, 3.06% Fe.
EFFECT: reduction of time required for process; reduction of labor requirements.
