FIELD: metallurgy, casting production, possibly manufacture of castings with high heat conductance.
SUBSTANCE: method for treating melt copper and tin bronze comprises steps of treating melt with use of nanosecond electromagnetic pulses; before such treatment soaking melt at temperature 1250°C for 5 min; performing further treatment by means of electromagnetic pulses at the same temperature for 10 - 15 min; then cooling melt at rate 20°C/min till 300°C.
EFFECT: increased heat conductance of copper and its alloys.
