FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, recovery of noble metals from silver-containing concentrates. SUBSTANCE: method includes creation of reaction volume based on flux melt in furnace, and concentrate accumulation melt under ore-smelting conditions with periodic discharge of melt upper part and also discharge and separation of slag and alloy. Prior to smelting, concentrate is subjected to oxidizing roasting. Flux melt is formed on impure sodium disilicate with module of 2.0-2.5 and flour spar with ratio of 10: 5-1. Smelting is carried out at temperature of 1300-1600 C. Device for recovery of noble metal from silver-containing concentrate includes ore-smelting furnace containing stationary gas conduit arch; metal body rotatable on axle; smelting bath located in body made of refractory material and equipped with discharge trough in upper part; electrodes lowering into working space from top. Body turning axle is located on side opposite to discharge trough. Electrodes are located in space of smelting bath with possible change of interelectrode distance through value from three to nine electrode diameters by centers of extreme electrodes. Smelting bath is rectangular in shape with size over short axis of not in excess of six electrode diameters, and over long axis, not above twelve electrode diameter.
