FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for generating electric and thermal energy using head of water created by natural sources and special structures. Proposed hydroelectric power station contains water source and storage reservoir formed by dam communicating at least with one water race in lower part, of which hydraulic machine, for instance, hydraulic turbine, is installed being connected with electric generator whose output is connected with power consumer. Proposed hydroelectric power station has at least one vortex heat generator communicating by input storage reservoir through additional water race and connected by output with heat consumer through pipeline. Water races are furnished with water flow rate controls, for instance, regulators-gates and flow rate meters, to provide equality of flow rate from water source and sum of water flow rates through races connected to hydraulic turbine and heat generator.
EFFECT: increased energy efficiency, enlarged sphere of application.
