FIELD: electrical engineering; emergency power supply to users allowing no short-time voltage drop.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device anticipates connection of reactor and variable capacitor bank in parallel with user when there are two switching apparatuses connecting the latter to two independent power supplies; upon occurrence of interruption in power supply these newly introduced reactor and variable capacitor bank will raise transient time constant and reduce voltage drop front steepness by supplying energy pre-stored in reactor magnetic field and in capacitor electric field to power mains. In this case capacitor bank value varies under normal operating conditions as a function of process parameters.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of power consumer trouble-free operation.
