FIELD: communications engineering, possible use for searching during token passing of service in case of broadband multi-access with code division of channels.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, technologies for improved search for token passing of service are disclosed for asynchronous systems such as broadband multi-access system with code division of channels. In one aspect, two-stage search procedure is used when list of codes of neighboring base stations is known. At first stage correlation of signal is performed with code of temporal characteristics of slot to detect one or more pilot signals and limits of slots connected to them. At second stage correlation of received signal to each code of code list at slot boundaries is performed, which are identified with pilot-signals at first stage, to identify code of pilot-signal and temporal characteristics of frame, connected to each pilot-signal.

EFFECT: decreased search time and power, increased detection speed, quality of signal being transmitted and capacity.
