SUBSTANCE: detection pilot signals can be generated by a base station and transmitted in the field of the pilot signals to one or more access terminals, thus facilitating signal detection on each of the access terminals. The first detection pilot signal is generated based on part of the transmitter object identifier. The second detection pilot signal is generated based on the entire transmitter object identifier and the first and second detection pilot signals are transmitted as time-division multiplexed (TDM) pilot signals.
EFFECT: obtaining estimates of time characteristics for a system with minimum effect of variation of interference between base stations and possibility of identifying each corresponding access point through its generated pilot signals.
