FIELD: flower growing and biotechnology, in particular, multiplication of valuable adornment plant sorts and hybrids of leaf begonia.
SUBSTANCE: method involves inducing soil formation on explants produced from begonia leafstalks, on medium containing kinetin used in an amount of 0.5 mg/l and coconut water used in an amount of 10 mg/l; carrying out cultivation under darkness conditions; providing rooting on growing substrate containing α-naphthaleneacetic acid used in an amount of 0.5 mg/l; providing acclimation of resultant regenerants by placing regenerants which had been planted in ground into transparent closable containers.
EFFECT: simplified process for microclonal multiplication of leaf begonia and increased reproduction of plants.
