FIELD: rocketry, chemical engineering, aircraft engineering and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of production of welded structures and it can be used at assembling, welding and sealing of round closing members, such as covers of hatches-manholes. According to invention, on inner surface of shell in area of arrangement of hatch -manhole, supporting stiffening members, such as frames or stringers, are installed. Hatch-manhole of preset size is cut out together with stiffening member. After carrying out works inside tank, inserts are welded in place of cut out part of stiffening members, and cover of hatch-manhole is installed and welded in by hermetic seam.
EFFECT: exclusion of residual welding strains and provision of required tightness of weld seam.
