FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, and more specifically to the design of a launch vehicle. The cylindrical body of the launch vehicle compartment consists of a power cylinder welded from monolithic panels, each of which contains a shell and longitudinal ribs made integral with it. Monolithic panels are welded together with longitudinal welds parallel to the longitudinal ribs. Inside the power cylinder, intermediate frames are installed, fixed on the longitudinal ribs of the monolithic panels by means of brackets. Docking rings are attached to the ends of the power cylinder. Each ring contains a cylindrical wall and stiffening ribs placed on it. Additional frames are attached to the stiffening ribs by means of brackets similar to the fastening of intermediate frames to the longitudinal ribs of monolithic panels inside the power cylinder. Along the welding plane of the docking ring with the end of the power cylinder, the thickness of the cylindrical wall of the docking ring is equal to the thickness of the shells of the monolithic panels, and the thickness and height of the stiffening ribs of the docking ring are equal to the thickness and height of the longitudinal ribs of the monolithic panels, respectively.
EFFECT: weight reduction is achieved.
