FIELD: manufacture of aircraft engines; designing devices for reduction of noise spreading in aerodynamic passages of two-spool turbojet engines, in passages with flow in particular.
SUBSTANCE: proposed silencer is mainly used for fan of two-spool turbojet engine having passage of round and/or circular section with one or several closed grates of axi-radial plates or profiles; these members are cantilever in form and are mounted on wall of passage of round and/or circular section occupying part of its cross-sectional area. According to one version, axi-radial plates or profiles are shrouded and are mounted on wall of passage of round and/or circular section occupying part of its cross-sectional area.
EFFECT: reduced mass, simplified construction of grate-type "sound barriers"; reduced aerodynamic losses in passages of two-spool turbojet engine.
