NOISE MUFFLER (NM) Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC F24F13/24 F01N1/24

Abstract RU 2757554 C1

FIELD: noise reduction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of noise reduction of aerodynamic sources; it can be used in air duct networks of ventilation and air conditioning systems. A noise muffler contains a case with at least one row of sound-absorbing elements located in it, stretched across the flow, installed to form channels for air passage between each other, wherein each sound-absorbing element is equipped with a partition including a dihedral angle with an inner area located on the side of the input of sound waves to the muffler, and outer surfaces of faces facing channels for air passage. Partitions are profiled, with a +-cross-shaped profile in profile cross sections or in the form of corrugated plates of a W-shaped profile in profile cross sections.

EFFECT: when implementing the invention, the creation of a noise muffler is ensured, which has a higher efficiency of noise reduction with a variable direction of air flow and a higher convenience of installing a muffler in an air duct network.
