FIELD: rocketry and space engineering; devices for separation of doors of droppable nose fairing from rocket stage.
SUBSTANCE: proposed pusher has cylindrical body, stop connected with one of its end faces and tail-piece. Two pistons with rods are arranged in pusher body. Rod of second piston is provided with inner cavity. Rod of first piston is connected with second piston and is provided with thinned calibrated neck and passage for communication with inner cavity of rod of second piston reaching the neck. Pistons are so mounted that free space for motion of piston is ensured between end of body which is nearest to stop and first piston. Rod of second piston is provided with valve in part which is opposite to point of connection with second piston; this valve is used for charging the cavity of rod with compressed air; rod is connected with tail-piece. Pusher is also provided with explosive charge located in body wall for escape of gases (in case of operation) into space between pistons. Second piston may be located in part of body having larger inner diameter as compared with part where first piston is located. Pusher may be provided with partition having through hole for separating the interior of body between pistons into two chambers; this partition is so mounted that neck of first piston rod and explosive charge are located on opposite sides from partition. Rod of first piston hermetically passes through hole of partition.
EFFECT: ease of servicing and operating the pusher; possibility of control of force created by pusher; possibility of activating the pusher irrespective of unlocking of fairing doors.
