FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used for measurement of optical system's coma coefficient of electro-optic detector. Method of measuring coma of projection optical system is based upon placement of point monochromatic light source at specified distance to main optical axis, measurement of coordinates of end point of dissipation spot on image, calculation of diaphragm coordinates of end beam from coordinates of end point of dissipation spot, measurement of meaning of coma from distance between point of true image and end point of dissipation spot, and determination of coma coefficient.

EFFECT: reduced complexity of determination; widened are of application.
