FIELD: non-destructive flaw detection processes with use of ultrasound pickups.
SUBSTANCE: irradiating circuit generates ultrasound pulses subordinate to the same time law for exciting elemental ultrasonic transducers. Receiving circuit includes memory device for storing samples of reflected signals received by each elemental ultrasound transducer according to each irradiation pulse at selected time moment. Processing device may be connected with said memory for reading and summing groups of reflected signal samples of each irradiation pulse of different ultrasound transducers at time moments shifted from one transducer to other and in accordance with changed in time and preliminarily selected processing law for each repetition. It allows calculate for each irradiation pulse large number of recovered reflected signal and to analyze common reflected signal formed by set of recovered reflected signals.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of non-destructive flaw detection in tubes, satisfied degree of detecting, for example flaws inclined relative to axis of controlled tube.
